I receveid the information back from the tech dept. Sorry for delay but X-mas doesn't help to be efficient. It is very strange what happened at your K8. Our range of pumps is compatible with Smartwave controller and specially the bigger ones that have the electronic start. The engineer suggests to check the presence of all the bearings and ORings of the rotor. Another suggestion is the follows: be sure the front chamber has been screwed on perfectly to the motor part.

I have contacted you on multiple occasions to sort out an issue that i am having with one of your powerheads. To date i have had no reply and have spent alot of money on this powerhead. Your customer service is an absolute joke and i am very happy to say that i will never purchase a Hydor product as long as i live. I would rather spend twice as much money on an inferior product than do business with you again. Your MD has alot to answer for. Before i purchased your product i reasearched it alot and people where on the wire between these and vortechs with magnums winning due to the initial cost. But i will be scrapping these and going with the Vortech's due to your shoddy non existant customer service.

I am trying to find a solution to a problem with my magnum 8 powerhead. I had it connected to my smartwave controller but had to unplug it as every time it restarts it makes up to 3 loud clunking noises. I have taken it apart and everything seems fine. They are both only about a week old and I bought them because I read on your site that they are compatible. Is this a know issue with these pumps or is there a simple fix that I need to do. Please advise as soon as possible.

No problem with only 70 litres... Do not place the ETH heater in horizontal position... is the only suggestion.

Ci sono diverse scuole di pensiero sul collocamento dei materiali filtranti. A nostro avviso vanno bene tutte. Ciò che cambia è il tempo che passa tra una pulizia e la successiva. Se vuole allungare i tempi, la cosa migliore (dal bass overso l'alto) è mettere 2/3 del volume di cannolicchi, una spugna sopra e per ultimo, un disco di filtrazione fine (disco bianco in dotazione). Facendo così, l'acqua rallenta attraversando i cannolicchi decantando il particolato, i batteri lavorano alla grande e all fine eventuale particolato in sospensione viene fermato dal spugna e disco bianco. Non si preoccupi per i batteri... li uccide solo se asciuga il substrato (cosa che non avviene durante la manutenzione).

The socket on the front, has been put because a future introduction of a new firmware. The firmware is ok and without bugs so no interface is available... :) If in the future we will introduce something new about it, we will inform the consumers with a news letter.

Is there a interface or cable so that i can connect to a pc there is a interface socket on the front of the unit next to the light sensor socket??

Salve volevo avere informazioni riguardo all'introduzione dei materiali filtranti dentro il cestello del mio neo acquisto, il filtro prime 10. Nel manuale ho notato che non accenna a considerare la sequenza dei prodotti allora ho chiesto appello a voi! In alcuni forum ho letto che la sequenza è al contrario di tutti gli altri filtri dato il circolo dell'acqua dal basso verso l'alto. Allora consigliavano di introdurre prima le spugne, poi la lava e in ultimo i cannolicchi ( la sequenza è dal basso verso l'alto) Ma così facendo mi sorge un dubbio.. Se andando a togliere i cannolicchi dal cestello, ovviamente per andare a prelevare, pulire e sostituire spugne e lana, non rischio di uccidere i battere che si sn formati all'interno dei cannolicchi? ( prelevandoli, lasciandoli a secco..qualsiasi cosa che comunque prevede di toglierli dalla loro posizione abituale) Grazie!
